Securing sculptures, statues and busts
Electronic protection of statues, sculptures and busts covers a very wide range. Basically, they differ greatly in the choice of material and size. The modern Human Detector Flex technology offers various components that are suitable for the different tasks.
Especially with very heavy exhibits (e.g. large marble sculptures), securing with the HDF-3D PROTECT structure-borne sound sensor is only of limited use. Here, the use of laser scanners would be recommended. The laser model HD-LSS25 can also be used outdoors.
A correctly adjusted laser scanner is able to detect spraying with paint or spraying with liquids. Busts and statues made of metal can be secured with the HDF-TOUCH capacitive detector. It is important here that the exhibits are not grounded via the pedestal bases. In this case, the electric field would not change when approached. This would render the capacitive sensor non-functional.
