Securing showcases and display cabinets
Electronic security of showcases display cabinets is one of the most common tasks in a museum. Due to the different types of showcases and security levels, different approaches are useful. Despite the good mechanical protection of the display case, electronic security is advisable. This allows attacks and manipulations to be detected at an early stage.
This section deals with the different ways of securing showcases.
In a few cases, the exhibits inside the showcase are additionally secured separately, which is the case, for example, with jewelry or other valuable small exhibits. Capacitive protection with the HDF-TOUCH sensor module or the compact HD-LSS4 laser scanner would then be used.
